Therapy for Burnout & Trauma
I specialize in working with adult women who are high-functioning but burned out, often with a history of trauma or emotionally confusing early relationships, who feel overwhelmed, anxious, and disconnected from themselves despite “doing everything right.” Many of my clients are working professionals, military-connected women, or neurodivergent adults who are exhausted from overfunctioning and want practical, trauma-informed support—not surface-level coping skills.
Who this is a good fit for
I often work with high-functioning adults, many of whom have ADHD traits or are otherwise neurodivergent. Many are thoughtful, somewhat internally insightful, and are high-capacity people who have spent most of their life masking both at work and in relationships. A lot of them reach out when they’re feeling overwhelmed and anxious, and are (at the least) annoyed at “doing it all.” Nearly all of the people I work with have had difficult early life experiences, tumultuous or confusing relationships with at least one parent, or at least one traumatic or upsetting experience.
Services I Offer
I provide therapy for adult women who are balancing work and home life, struggling with increasing anxiety, and are dealing with long term effects of earlier life experiences all while feeling fed up at societal constraints and pressures that are placed on women and moms.
Therapeutic Approaches I Use
I use modalities like updated Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) to process trauma, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) for help with clarity and reducing overwhelm, and somatic treatments such as Trauma Center Trauma Sensitive Yoga (TCTSY) to improve the mind-body connection. I use Family Systems Theory to improve relationships and understand how the past impacts the present. I use person-centered therapy to create a supportive therapeutic relationship where clients feel safe enough to dive into the difficult topics that are bothering them.
Additional Populations I serve
In addition to my primary focus with adult women experiencing burnout and the long-term effects of trauma, I also work with military service members, veterans, and military spouses; counseling and social work graduate students; pre-licensed and licensed associates seeking supervision or consultation; and couples+ who want to strengthen communication and connection.

When This Work Is a Good Fit
This work is often a good fit for people who want therapy that is authentic and supportive, with a therapist who values humor and sarcasm, is direct and will tell you like it is, but is also able to hold space to hear the most difficult things. This approach tends to work best when clients are ready to be vulnerable - at least a teeny bit, are willing to try new approaches, and are ready to work toward letting go of the past.
When This May Not Be the Best Fit
I may not be the best fit if you are seeking crisis-level care, intensive substance use treatment, court-mandated therapy, or immediate safety stabilization. I am also not a fit for clients looking for a passive or purely supportive therapy style without active engagement, or for those seeking insurance-based services only. I am not a fit for individuals seeking diagnostic evaluations, custody or court-related assessments, or formal psychological testing. I also do not prescribe medication.
If you are experiencing an emergency, I encourage you to seek immediate local support.
